Cable Cove campground
The campground is adjacent to a stream and
0.5 mile from Fontana Lake. It is located in mature hardwood with
most of the understory cleared out. Sites are spacious and nicely
shaded. The lake is very popular with canoeists.

south 5.5 miles to Cable Cove sign. Turn left at sign and go 1 mile
to campground on the right.

The Cable Cove Recreation Area is located
about 15¼ miles from Robbinsville in the northwest part of Graham
County, about 3 miles from the Fontana Dam. From Robbinsville, travel
9.2 miles East on State Highway 143 until you reach the junction with
Highway 28. Turn left at the stop sign and go North on Highway 28 for
approximately 6½ miles to the entrance road for Cable Cove Recreation
Area.
